Tea Shrub, a premium Sri Lankan tea brand, partnered with Design Mixy to establish a complete brand identity honoring Ceylon tea's rich heritage while appealing to modern, discerning tea enthusiasts worldwide. Through our subscription service, Tea Shrub received end-to-end design solutions positioning the brand for success in competitive global markets.

The Challenge

Design Mixy was tasked with creating a distinctive brand identity that would stand out in the crowded premium tea market. The challenge was multifaceted: develop a memorable logo capturing Sri Lanka's tea heritage, create cohesive branding across all touchpoints, design shelf-stopping premium packaging, build a website that would educate consumers while driving online sales, and establish an engaging social media presence that would build community and brand loyalty across digital platforms.

The Design

Logo & Branding The Tea Shrub logo captured the essence of Sri Lankan tea culture through elegant typography paired with organic botanical elements. The brand identity drew inspiration from Ceylon's lush tea estates, incorporating deep greens, warm earth tones, and gold accents. Comprehensive branding guidelines established consistency across all applications.

Packaging Design Each tea variety featured custom illustrations celebrating Sri Lanka's biodiversity and tea-growing regions. The packaging balanced premium shelf presence with practical functionality, using sustainable materials aligned with modern consumer values. Typography hierarchy and color coding made product differentiation intuitive while maintaining brand unity.

Website Design

The website created an immersive digital experience educating visitors about Ceylon tea's unique qualities while seamlessly guiding them toward purchase. Rich storytelling elements, beautiful product photography, and intuitive navigation through tea varieties created an optimized e-commerce experience. Interactive elements highlighted origin story, sustainable practices, and brewing recommendations.

Social Media Design (Ongoing)

Design Mixy provides ongoing social media design support, creating scroll-stopping content that brings Tea Shrub's brand story to life across Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. Each piece of content maintains brand consistency while adapting to platform-specific best practices. From product photography styling and educational carousel posts to seasonal campaign graphics and user-generated content templates, the social media designs drive engagement, build community, and support e-commerce conversion through shoppable content and strategic storytelling.

Responsive & E-commerce Optimized

Built mobile-first to accommodate global tea enthusiasts shopping across devices, the responsive design maintained visual elegance and functional efficiency. The e-commerce experience was streamlined for conversion with intuitive filtering, detailed product pages, and frictionless checkout.

Tools and Technologies

The project utilized Adobe Illustrator for logo and packaging design, Adobe Photoshop for image editing and mockups, Figma for website design and prototyping, and Canva Pro for social media content creation and template development. Brand guidelines were delivered as comprehensive PDF documentation.
